Hi, I'm Purnima. A Yoga and Meditation educator based in Auckland, NZ.

Yoga is for everyone. I am passionate about making yoga more accessible and appealing, to everyone. Especially women and men, who are journeying through midlife:  a transformative phase in their life. I see it as coming full circle. An opportunity to reconnect to the strong and fun loving person that you are!

Yoga has the potential to change you. You can acquire the power, knowledge and awareness to be in tune with your body. Learn techniques to take back control of your life. I am here to educate and empower you. The greatest transformation comes when you accept and love yourself as you are. The physical and mental benefits are side effects. I am here to help you transition and thrive through this period (!) not just survive it

WOMENS WELLNESS YOGA

Tuesday 9:15am women's wellness yoga starts 23rd May to 3rd June in Term 2.

Suitable for women new to yoga, experiencing hormonal changes and starting out on their peri/meno journey.

I'M GLAD YOU'RE HERE

Midlife can be tiresome for some. For women, perimenopause and menopause is intrusive. For men, there are issues like stress, prostate, brainfog. Some, of it can be a confusing and lonely time. It can feel like an internal "revolt" in your body. A coup! It sometimes feels like your body is letting you down, at the most unexpected of times! But there is help at hand. 

WHY YOGA?

This 5000 year old science and art of living has been proven over generations to improve the body, breath, mind and day to day living experience of individuals. 

Simplistically put, yoga acts as a therapeutic tool to achieve positive health and control and cure diseases. Research and studies show that a regular integrated practice of yoga is effective in managing and alleviating chronic symptoms of Midlife and Menopause. 

WHY ME?

I'm a living example of how yoga has helped me navigate my menopause journey. Symptoms are inevitable. And I have through my perimenopause and now menopause, been able to  use my yoga knowhow to effectively reduce the severity and manage symptoms. I have tapped into my Yoga toolkit whenever I have needed to and now I want to share it with you.
