Moksha Retreats
A deliberate pause to slow down, choose yourself, and restore what life slowly drains.
Sometimes the journey forward begins with a pause. In the fullness of life, we rarely create space to step away from the noise and return to what truly matters. These retreats offer that space. Specially curated for you to create room for your soul to breathe.
More than a yoga retreat
A deeper transformation
Designed for the woman you are right now. Our retreats are deeply transformative and thoughtfully designed for busy, ambitious women navigating the pressures of midlife, career, family, hormones, and changing bodies. So many women carry the silent weight of stress, emotional overload, and expectation in their day-to-day lives: from family responsibilities and financial pressures to lack of boundaries, past shadows, and even the smaller micro-stresses like lunchboxes and getting kids from sport A to sport B on time. Seems small enough, but when the body is going through hormonal changes all these micro stresses add up to tip the balance over.
Space to reconnection, process and grow
Whilst our retreats are curated with specific activities and practices with the intention of reducing stress and overwhelm, we also create space for self-connection, time to process, to reflect, and to simply be. Each retreat holds a specific theme, with the time, guidance, and resources for you to truly experience and understand it. There is also the opportunity for ongoing support, so you can gently integrate what you’ve experienced into your everyday life.
Enjoy depth, joy and intention
Our retreats are not about pushing harder or doing more. We focus on practices that restore and infuse energy into the body, while also creating moments of creativity, lightness, and sometimes, even a sense of thrill. Through self-study, rituals, and Ayurvedic insights, we begin to understand the body, patterns, and behaviours more deeply. Alongside this, we weave in nature, sound, and intentional experiences that support healing and alignment. Our venues are chosen with care offering ease, comfort, and small pockets of luxury while connection, shared experiences, and presence bring layers of joy. Every detail is considered from nourishing meals to comfortable bedding and thoughtful amenities, so you can fully relax and let go. This is deep, uninterrupted rest that settles into your bones. Any moments of participation are intentional and light, offered as experiences of connection and culture, such as an Ayurvedic cooking class. Our retreats are an invitation for you to reacquaint with yourself, a meaningful gift of time and attention that you truly deserve.
What People Are Saying
“I feel very calm, relaxed and so privileged to be able to do this. It’s been a treat to escape the busy city and have a bit of me time away from busy weeks, family and day to day activities.”
Jen Nichol, Professional Gardner and Business Owner
“I’d never been on a retreat before and Purnima’s choice of location and the programme was right on point- a perfect antidote to the hectic pace of the day to day. A tranquil and energising place to re-set, nourishment for body and soul, laughter, warmth and connection. I left feeling grateful for the experience and highly recommend to anyone looking to get a bit of balance into your busy life.”
Lee Brunton, People & Culture leader
“Once again the Moksha Retreat delivered what it promised….a beautiful relaxing venue, time to unwind, sound bowl yoga to really relax us into it, delicious and healthy food, yoga sessions morning and evening that covered the whole range from flow to stretches and meditation, and lots of beautiful new people to discover. I found the Ayurvedic cooking class really inspiring and reading about the doshas, which was a great conversation point for identifying our characteristics and was a great way to get to know each other. The swim at the beach was invigorating. Overall the retreat felt like a big hug and a great way to reset to get through the end of winter. Thanks Purnima 🙏🙏.”

Set in the clifftops of Muriwai, with fresh ocean air and expansive views overlooking the Tasman Sea, we held our first ever New Zealand retreat at the beautiful Kula Muriwai.
This fully catered, residential retreat, was held in August, and was a weekend of luxury and complete relaxation. 3 days of unwinding and relaxing, learning the art of slowing down, uplifting energy and cultivating a beautiful not just with yourself but with the group.
The Friday welcome ceremony was a deeply relaxing sound journey with crystal bowls, setting and seeing the retreat intention with a cacao ceremony. Then restorative Yoga Nidra to truly unwind and allow the opportunity to dissolve the week’s stress arriving fully into the space.
The weekend was filled with yoga, cleansing practices, time to explore the local beach, deep tissue massage, sauna ice baths and little sunlit nooks for reading and relaxing.
All food was plant based and prepared by the expert vegan inhouse chef.

Sattva Radiance 2025
We went back to the beautiful location of Kula Muriwai in 2025.
This year, it was an Ayurvedic inspired retreat imbibing the quality of Sattva, purity in mind, body and soul.
The welcome circle, was opened by an skin tingling soundscape by the talented Cheryl Farthing from The Yoga Studio, who has a stunning collection of alchemy crystal bowls, gongs, rain maker and other sound instruments.
The weekend was about experiential learning of Ayurvedic Doshas and elements, through an Ayurvedic cooking class and an Elemental Workshop at the beach connecting with Earth/sand, Fire/sun, Water/Sea and the wind that is generously gifted by the wild west coast.
The guests really enjoyed the rarity of community cooking whilst also learning about the simplicity of food being flavourful and deeply nourishing.
